Description

SILlopa is an engineering tool to determine the Safety Integrity Level(SIL) of Instrumented Protective Functions using Layer of Protection Analysis(LOPA) method. In process industry, there are various events and causes that are capable of creating hazardous consequences. LOPA method takes up each cause-consequence pair and analyses them to check if the design meets the target risk assigned for the consequence severity. Quantitativity in LOPA method provides much credibility. A Consequence can end up in one or more end points called Scenarios. SILlopa is capable of analyzing all the Scenarios for a given Safety Instrumented Function and assigning the right SIL for the function. The tool provides a comprehensive report to be used for further engineering. The product is designed by experts who have decades of experience in SIL determination.
